I didn't do much painting and drawing after college, as my IT career picked up. But I did teach myself how to create art with the computer. For about a decade, now, I've dabbled in the digital arts. Much of the focus there has been on beautifying web and Windows applications. I've otherwise found creating digital art for friends and family a great outlet. My main career focus has been as a software developer, but I have really enjoyed the opportunities I've had to integrate what modest artistic skill I do have into my work. Below are some examples of works of pure art and professional graphics work applied to software applications I've also written. You'll note that while I enjoy creating pure art for its own sake, I am very conservative when it comes to adorning professional web applications. The primary goal has always been maximizing usability while making the viewing experience pleasant. Feel free to click on any of the following images to see it in greater detail.
